The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands has announced a new culinary collaboration with Maldivian pastry chef Aminath, marked by the launch of a collection titled “A Taste of Homecoming.”
The initiative features a range of pastry and confectionery items combining local ingredients with international techniques, available through a dedicated retail space at La Locanda restaurant. The collection includes items such as dragées, almond Florentine, cranberry macadamia cookies and coconut-based creations.
Chef Aminath, founder of Maldivian Patisserie, brings extensive international experience and has received industry recognition including Best Maldivian Pastry Chef 2022 and awards at the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives Awards. Her previous roles include positions at several luxury resorts in the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
In addition to retail offerings, the collaboration extends to in-villa guest experiences, with the chef responsible for producing turndown chocolates and cookies.
The initiative represents the resort’s continued engagement with local talent, following earlier collaborations with Maldivian artists, and reflects a broader industry trend towards integrating local creativity into luxury hospitality offerings.
